Create Cutting lists in MS Access CUTTING
LIST program - MS Access application
designed for fast development of cutting lists. On the base of your input you
can generate and print reports:Cutting List; Steel Summary and Order
steel by piece mark. At your disposal there are tools for quick editing,

SETTING Start MS Access and open any existing database (NOT the database you have with this program) or create new database. Go to
menu Tools Options… Click on “Keyboard” tab and set the options as shown below:
Press OK. Using MS Access browser open database Cutting List.mde in folder C:\Cutting List. The program includes two forms (see pictures at the end of this document): Main Form and Add Items. In main form enter the name of project (will be used as a title of reports) and click on ‘Add Items’ button. How to add new records. Use Duplicate record button
Assign the number of item (optional), select from combo box steel shape (1139 shapes included in database), type length – feet-inch and enter the quantity of item. Remark: Inches can be entered in fractional (5 ½) or decimal (5.5) formats. NO inch symbol! You can select the group of records, copy and paste with the following editing or records. Play video ModifyList.exe Remark: before pasting records from clipboard click on new record button in records navigation group (the button with asterisk). How to delete records. Select records and press Delete on keyboard. How to preview and print report. Click on the corresponding button in form to open report. In toolbar menu click on printer icon or use File…Print menu to open print dialog window, where you can select Printer and options for printing. To close report click on ‘Close Report’ button in toolbar menu. How to start new project. Using MS Access browser or Windows Explorer copy Cutting List.mde file, paste and assign new name of database. Launch new database and change the name of project. Compact and repair database. In order to enhance the performance of database and decrease the size of database file periodically (one-two times per a day) click on ‘Compact and repair database’ button in toolbar menu.
