Lesson10. Gather sheets
Before creating Gather sheets you should have drawings of piece details with XReferenced BOMs placed in PaperSpace.
1. In AutoCAD: command eattext Or select Data Extraction in Tools menu (AutoCAD2008 or higher) or Attribute Extraction in AutoCAD prior to 2008
In opened window check ...Use previous... and browse to find
C:\SolidStructural\Support\ExtractSS09.dxe or other templates you have saved previously. In AutoCAD prior to 2008 version templates files extension is *.blk
Click Next, save the template in Solidstructural/Support or other folder. Add the drawings of piece details
Click Next On Page 3 using multiple selection select blocks BOM_LINE_ (click on 1st item, hold Shift and click on last BOM_LINE_ item ). You have an option to Uncheck All/Check All (right click on Objects column and select Uncheck All) and then make one click-check in option button.
Click Next. Press Next on pages 4, 5 and 6. Finally click on Finish button on Page 8
You finished extraction of attributes from BOMs
In SolidStructural Main form press button Gather Sheets and then Delete Old Data and Add New
After that click on Open Form button.
New form appears. Check submaterials you wish to add in your drawing and press button Add BOM Select Scale and click on Generate drawings button. The program will automatically create drawings. You can transfer them using clipboard into your current Gather sheet drawing.
