Snap to SurfaceQuick setting of new UCS aligned with the face of 3D solid and changing to plan view of current UCS can be done in AutoCAD with the following AutoLISP:
(defun C:UF()(command "UCS" PAUSE "" "PLAN" "C"))
Turn on dynamic UCS and move cursor over a face of 3D Solid (face is highlighted)
